Volunteer Spotlight: Harrison!
Harrison started as a House Volunteer this summer. He initially heard about Ronald McDonald House Charites through Hands-On Greater Richmond and decided to apply for a volunteer position. Harrison loves being at the Ronald McDonald House and enjoys doing all the things that help the house run smoothly. All of the tasks he completes are a part of a bigger picture which fulfils him in his volunteer role. His favorite part of volunteering here is being able to meet people from all different walks of life.
The most memorable moment for Harrison’s during his time here at the house was on his first day. He recalls helping carry a lot boxes of donations to a car to be transported. Holding those tangible items made the need and the service Ronald McDonald House Charities provides real for him and it made him happy that he decided to share his time volunteering here. Harrison graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. When he’s not at the Ronald McDonald House, Harrison enjoys reading mysteries, biking, and watching the occasional episode of Breaking Bad.
A fun fact about Harrison is that he was named after the actor Harrison Ford and the character Indian Jones to make Harrison Jones! Thank you Harrison for all of your support!
