What do you enjoy doing in your time outside work hours?

“I enjoy trying new restaurants in Richmond, going to wineries, exercising, traveling, and cheering on Philly sports teams!”

What do you do for RMHC of Richmond?

“As the Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager, I manage all of our volunteer programs and coordinate our outreach efforts. All of our programs are supported by volunteers and it is my job to help our volunteers determine how they can give back in a way that is meaningful to them.”

What’s your favorite part of working here?

“There are so many things I enjoy about working at RMHC of Richmond. I would have to say my favorite part of working here that I am able to interact with so many different people and that makes my job a little bit different every day. I also really enjoy the opportunity to work with our internship programs to help students build a variety of non-profit management skills. “

What has been one of the most memorable moments from working here?

“It is so hard to pick one memorable moment out when I am constantly energized by seeing volunteers really enjoy their experience and understand our mission. It is always touching when it is so clear that families have been really impacted by their stay here and such a wonderful feeling knowing we as a staff are able to provide such a unique service. Those both bring me so many moments when you can really feel that all of your hard work is making an impact on the lives of those around you.”

Are there volunteer opportunities you have been able to get involved with yourself?

“Yes! I volunteer once a week tutoring a student at William Fox Elementary in reading comprehension. I really enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community that I live in. I think that’s one of the most rewarding parts for our volunteers as well.”

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

“I have been shark cage diving in Cape Town, South Africa!”
