Motown Game to Benefit RMHC

Petersburg native, Ron Robinson, created a fun and unique board game called Can You Dig It? last year. It is a trivia game in honor of the famous Motown music that swept the U.S from the 1950’s to 1980’s. Ron is a music lover and songwriter and owns over 300 music albums. At a time where mobile apps and social media have taken over, Ron really wanted to create a game that took him back to his childhood and brought families back together.  He wanted his game to get people to put away their cell phones and get away from the computer.

The game is in the shape of a record album and players have to answer questions about the Motown era. The questions range from Smokey Robinson to the Temptations to Jackson 5. The first person that makes it around the entire record to the end of the needle of the record player wins the game and is named DJ for the night. Ron has sold over 100 games already! He is currently looking for new outlets to get his board games to as many people as he can.

The best part about this Motown-inspired board game is that part of the proceeds will benefit us here at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond! We are so appreciative of Ron and thank you for thinking of us! We wish him the best in all of his future business endeavors.
