Alpha Delta Pi
Since 1979, sisters of Alpha Delta Pi sorority across the United States and Canada have supported Ronald McDonald House Charities as their national philanthropy. In their 37 years of partnership, ADPi sisters have raised over 10 million dollars for RMHC. Here in Richmond, we are so grateful to have the support of the Epsilon Chi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at Longwood University. Located in Farmville, VA, the school is about an hour southwest of Richmond, but the girls enjoy making the trip every month to come serve at the house.
The sisters from Longwood University’s ADPi have helped with numerous tasks such as cleaning around the house, baking cookies for our families, decorating the house, volunteering at special events, and making lunches for Richmond’s local hospitals. The sisters also engage the entire LU community in giving back to the charity by collecting pop tops on campus, and hosting an on-campus 5k and fashion show that benefit RMHC.
ADPi’s Epsilon Chi Philanthropy Chair, Kerby Dalton, describes their experience saying, “We love coming to the Ronald McDonald House in Richmond. To us, it feels like we are coming into a friend’s home. We have seen the love and support the House gives to the families and it has inspired us every time. We leave feeling so lucky to be able to help an organization that gives so much.”
We are so proud and honored to have the support of these young women throughout their college career and beyond. Thank you, sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, for an incredible partnership!
