Superheroes in Action: Teen Impact
Teen Impact is a community program through HandsOn Greater Richmond for teens in the Richmond area to visit many non-profit organization to learn about the work they do and help to complete service projects. The Ronald McDonald House Charities was please to host two Teen Impact days this summer.
The first group of students from the Steward School deep cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms of the house to ensure a comfortable and clean environment for our families. This group also made lunches that were delivered to families at the hospital and baked cookies for families at the house to enjoy.
The second group comprised of teens from all over Richmond repainted the playhouse in our backyard, helped to clean the outdoor area, and made small crafts for families staying at the house.
We were so glad to host these teens and help them learn how were able to provide support for families staying here in the house and in our local hospitals. Thank you to the Teen Impact volunteers who were certainly able to make an impact this summer!
