Kerry Blumberg, Executive Director "RMHC brings my passion for children's health, community engagement and strategic collaboration together, literally, together under one roof. I'm excited for the opportunity to be an advocate for children and families in medical crisis, while at the same time, positioning the organization for continued growth and success. I am a member of he Emerging Non-Profit Leaders Class of 2012 and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in K-8 education from Randolph Macon College. I am an active volunteer with United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg's Women's Leadership Initiative. My free time is spent with my husband Mike and our son Chase, usually outdoors playing with our rescue dog Ash and attending local sporting events. " |

Allison Smith, Director of Development "It is an honor to share RMHC in the Richmond community through marketing, event planning, and relationship building. I've enjoyed getting to know the families and volunteers and am humbled every day by the generosity of the Richmond community and McDonald's family. I am a graduate of James Madison University and board member for the JMU Richmond Alumni Chapter. Prior to joining the RMHC team, I spent four years in admissions and marketing at independent schools in New England and Virginia. I am originally from the Northern Neck of Virginia and enjoy traveling, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends." |

Rebecca Avila, House Assistant specializing in House Operations "I moved to Richmond near the end of 2011 after acquiring a Bachelor's Degree in Justice, Peace, and Conflict Studies from Eastern Mennonite University. Through my studies and experiences as a young adult, I have found myself most captivated by the desire to work with adolescents and it has been my passion in life to work for organizations that benefit them. At RMHC-Richmond I have found a wonderful fit for these interests and have recently had the pleasure of welcoming a new addition to the RMHC team through the birth of my husband and I's first child in January of 2013!" |

Sarah Erickson, House Assistant specializing in Coordinating Volunteers "I received a Bachelor's in Sociology from VCU. Coming from a family of Social Workers, I have always been drawn to volunteering and working in the non-profit field. I began as a volunteer at RMHC and enjoyed working in the House so much I became a staff member a few months later. I ride my bicycle to work almost every day and on my days off I help run the Rag and Bones Bicycle Cooperative, where I teach people how to fix their own bicycles. I enjoy writing and playing folk music on the ukulele, making vegetarian sushi, and reading science fiction in my free time." |

Jo Leigh Keeley, House Assistant "I am currently studying Biology and Chemistry at VCU. In my spare time, I volunteer at MCV and Hospice. The Ronald McDonald House has always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, my uncle worked as Ronald McDonald for the House in Portugal. It is a privilege to work for such an amazing charity that truly goes out of its way to provide hospitality to families in need." |

Shannon Keeley, House Assistant specializing in Database Management "When I was 15, I opened my photography business, Shaz Images. My first project was to work for Capital Hospice where I was given the rare opportunity to view suffering and loss through a camera lens. I learned about the Ronald McDonald House through my sister, Jo. Hearing her stories about the organization inspired me to get involved. I am currently a student at VCU School of Businees and hope to open a charity of my own one day." |
