College Scholarships Have Been Awarded Through Annual Program Funded by RMHC of Richmond, RMHC Global and McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Richmond 
The Ronald McDonald House of Richmond has named the 2011-2012 RMHC Scholars, an annual recognition which awards scholarships to local graduating high school seniors across the Greater Richmond area. The program, funded in partnership with the McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Richmond, RMHC Global and RMHC of Richmond, offers graduating high school seniors the opportunity to secure funding for their first semester at a higher learning institution. “We congratulate this year’s RMHC Scholars and their outstanding achievements,” said Marsha Hargette, Executive Director of RMHC Richmond. “We look forward to celebrating with these students and their families at special reception to be held at the Ronald McDonald House. At this event, the RMHC Scholars can meet fellow winners, local McDonald’s franchisees, and the RMHC of Richmond scholarship judging committee – it will be a terrific evening.”

RMHC Scholars were selected based on a variety of criteria including: their academic records, commitment to their communities, and letters of recommendation. The complete list of recipients is below.

Each awarded student receives a $2,000 scholarship. Students have been recently notified and presented with their scholarships at their high school’s Senior Assemblies.
